Badrul, a former convict, returns to his village to care for his grandmother, Halimah. Badrul was imprisoned for 2 years for theft. Despite being frequently criticized, he is determined to support his grandmother who suffers from dementia or Alzheimer's disease. He struggles to find work because of his criminal record. Badrul remembers his grandmother's favorite dishes and discovers her recipes. Since then, he has been diligently making bahulu and doing business in his village. He receives good reception, but something unexpected is about to arrive.
