ExtremeRed

ExtremeRed, also known as Yiğit (/jiːt/) in real life, is a self-taught 3D animator and showrunner. Born on July 26, 2006, and raised in Istanbul, Türkiye, his creative journey began at the age of 12 when he developed an interest in mapping content, which is the art of narrative storytelling using geopolitical shifts on a map.

He initially built an audience in his native language under the alias Marmaralı. After producing mapping content for roughly two years, he took a brief experimental detour to launch the channel RedStickman, creating kinetic "Stick Death Maze" animations before ultimately returning to his primary medium.

His mapping career spanned eight steady, foundational years. Genuinely passionate about grand-scale storytelling, he eventually pushed beyond historical Earth maps to construct entirely original planets, nations, and lore. However, growing within the community also exposed him to bitter online politics, broken friendships, and personal setbacks. Despite hitting his lowest points multiple times, he refused to stop creating, eventually releasing his final Turkish mapping project: Artifisiyum.

That project laid the definitive groundwork for what was to come. The original 10-episode series, now archived as Artifisiyum [LEGACY] and confirmed non-canon, made one thing abundantly clear to him: traditional 2D mapping was far too limiting for the massive sci-fi narrative he wanted to tell. Recognizing that the story demanded visual depth, he made the difficult decision to retire the "Marmaralı" handle and step away from the community he had called home for nearly a decade.

The transition was not easy. Following his departure, he faced intense toxicity from former peers who mocked his new direction or actively attempted to bring his work down. Simultaneously, navigating the broader online creator space forced him to endure exploitative collaborations, severe creative burnout, and poorly managed production pipelines.

Refusing to let external friction dictate his output, he overcame these structural hurdles to independently master 3D animation, writing, and direction. Today, ExtremeRed is actively producing his debut indie animated series, Artifisium, while quietly drafting the blueprints for his next generation of projects.
